Aquavitesse is a fast modern charter boat operated by Noel West from Brighton marina in Sussex.

AQUAVITESSE

Engines: Twin Yanmar 4.2 litre Turbo charged intercooled diesel engines, each generating 300hp driving Hamilton water jets to give you a fast and gentle ride with no underwater gear to catch your lines. The maximum boat speed is 25 knots, and the cruising speed is 20 knots with a full crew.
Licence: Licenced by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to carry up to 12 passengers up to 60 miles from any safe haven. Aquavitesse also has a workboat licence.
Insurance: Insured with Lloyds to give passenger cover up to £2,000,000.
Safety Equipment: Life-rafts and life jackets for 14 people, flares, fire extinguishers, gas and bilge alarms fitted together with VHF radios and mobile phone. A first-aid kit is also carried.
Comforts: Electric-flush toilet, microwave oven, colour TV, fridge, hot tea and coffee provided, cabin space for all. Canopy fitted to provide weather protection. Side and rear gates for easy access.
Electronics: GPS for precise satellite navigation, colour daylight radar, colour fish finder and autopilot. 240v and 12v supplies available on board.


THE SKIPPER 		 

Noel West started his fishing career as a Deckie on North Sea trawlers working out of Lowestoft on the east coast. He holds an RYA Offshore Yachtmaster both in sail and motor endorsed for commercial operation. Sailing and boats are his hobby and worklife, both of which he enjoys immensely.
Chris Golding, Skipper Chris Golding started his relationship with Aquavitesse as a customer and liked the experience so much he joined the Beaufort Charters Team as a Relief skipper. Chris holds a skippers ticket endorsed for commercial operation and fishing is not only a hobby and work for Chris but also a passion. Chris is always happy to talk on anything concerned with sea fishing and is very keen to help our customers improve their fishing technique and enjoyment of the sport.

The two skippers believe that customers are their number one priority, and their aim is to provide an enjoyable day out for everyone. Both are happy to help and instruct when needed and also enjoy learning from their more knowledgeable passengers.

The rule on the boat is that you may only take home fish that you want to eat; the skippers will help with gutting, cleaning and filleting if required and can even provide recipe sheets for all the fish commonly caught.

All other fish should be returned to the sea in good condition, so we can help to conserve our fish stocks.    
FISHING CHARTER TRIPS 
For an 8 hour trip the charge is £50 per person Weekdays (£55 Weekends), with a minimum charge for the boat of £450 (£495 Weekends). 
TACKLE HIRE
Rods and reels are available for a charge of £10 per person per day. This charge includes all end tackle for the day. There will be an additional charge if hire rods or reels are damaged or lost.
BAIT
From April to October mackerel can be easily caught off Brighton for use as bait. In the later months of the year cod are best caught on calamari or cuttlefish. Worm baits and peeler crab can also be effective particularly for ground fishing. There is a tackle shop within 100 feet of the boat that can provide most baits for anglers who don't have a local source. As a guide a 5lb box of calamari costs about £11.00; frozen ammo mackerel cost about £3.00 a pair; and rag and lugworm about £3.00 for 10. 
MACKEREL FISHING
Mackerel fishing trips are charged at £120 for one hour or at £100 per hour for the whole boat, including tackle hire, with a minimum charge for 1 hour.
BASSING TRIPS
Bassing trips are charged at (up to 6 people) £75 per person Weekdays or £85 Weekends.

DEPOSITS
A £200 deposit (or £25 per person, whichever is the lower) is required to hold advance bookings (£50 for mackerel trips and party trips). This is fully refundable if the skipper cancels the trip for weather, safety or operational reasons. It is not refundable for cancellations by the crew within 28 days of the booking date. PARTY TRIPS
We now do regular party trips, often as a part of hen and stag weekends. A leisurely trip to Beachy Head and back can be undertaken between midday and 5pm with plenty of time for sunbathing and a picnic. Alternatively an evening trip can involve a leisurely run around the piers with guest given the opportunity to take the helm. All excursions are charged at £100/hour. We can carry up to twelve passengers, and you may provide your own refreshments or they can be provided at an extra cost.
